About the Race
To make the ride even smoother, we will clear all downed trees from the trail, mark the entire course, and provide fully equipped aid stations. Take in unimpeded views of beautiful high alpine desert and amazing aspen forests. This course is an intermediate 40 mi. trail that has a 3,700 ft. elevation gain and is 85% singletrack. It has a maximum elevation of 10,720 ft., making it a perfect warm-up if you are training for Leadville! Our events are as competitive as you want them to be. Take your time and enjoy the flowy, scenic trail or grind as hard as you can and shoot for the podium. Whatever your speed, we hope to see you at the event!

Camping
There are several camping options for the event. First, Zia Rides has been given permission to camp at the beautiful Angel Fire Resort. There is room for tents and RVs throughout Angel Fire Resort, but plan to carpool accordingly as they do not allow RVs that are longer than 19 ft. and they only allow one car per campsite. Camping is $15 per night and is on a first-come first-served basis, so be early to secure your spot and hang out with us! There is potable water, dumpsters, port-a-potties, and a community fire pit at the camp. Bring some marshmallows, chocolate, graham crackers, and your s’mores-roasting stick for maximum camping fun!
Second, there is dispersed camping permitted around the national forest. Check out the Forest Service Website to see where you can pitch your tent!
